Girl’s Night

Since it was just me and one flatmate home this weekend, we decided to make the most of it and cook a meal together. It was honestly such a fun evening and a great way to spend a Saturday night. You don’t need to go out to have a lovely evening! All we needed was some risotto, white wine, chocolate and a good binge on Netflix.

To start with: the risotto. My flatmate had a load of butternut squash spare so we used this for our meal. She complained of it being overly cheesey but…surely there’s no such thing as too much cheese, right? To be fair, we did have about three portions worth on our plates to eat in one sitting so I can’t be too harsh on her. Although I’m a little peeved that she deemed the food to be “Instagrammable vom”. Mmmmm, tasty xD

We paired this with some great white wine and ended up being probably the giggly-est chefs in the world. But we made it! Then we shnuggled up on the sofa with our duvets and watched The Duff (seriously such a great film) followerisottod by RuPaul’s Drag Race…This was my first experience of the show, and honestly it was downright hilarious and utterly fabulous. One of those cheesy TV shows that  you can just Netflix binge on for absolutely hours.

To top this off we had some Gu chocolate ganache pots. These are so amazing. The ooey, gooey chocolatey-ness of them just makes me want to melt with happiness. I had two that night and do not regret it in any way xD

This was a great evening and I hope we can do it more often 🙂
